A Maryland born artist relocated to Pittsburgh in the late 90’s due to its rich culture and diversity. She brought with her several years of graphic design experience. Her career path took a different direction though she has always been an artist. Recent life changes have brought her back to her roots with a renewed love for organic creations, particularly in graphite drawings. Be it digital or organic, she enjoys the process of bringing visions to life through art.

Carolyn’s experience and passion are with individualized art pieces using a variety of mediums and creative practices. She has more than 30 years’ experience in art including formal training in a wide range of mediums, practices, and styles. Some of which include graphic design, graphite & charcoal drawing, jewelry, pottery, woodwork, photography, and painting. Her work often brings a feeling of joy or evokes reflection.

While Carolyn’s career path has not always been art she has brought that passion along in every role.  Expressing creativity is a natural response to everything she does. From attractive flyers and compelling newsletters to captivating spreadsheets with style plus a few bells & whistles. Successful event organization, marketing, web design, and blogging were all possible with her creative abilities.

Carolyn enjoys spending time with her husband and pets. She loves spending time in nature, be it a walk on a trail or an evening in the garden by the fire. She is always eager to learn, explore and experience new things. She practices mindfulness in all her endeavors. Carolyn is an advocate for mental health, healthcare rights, equality, and reducing stigmas in the world of mental and chronic health issues.
